ETF Database
today is pleased to announce an update for the ETF Database app for iPhone and iPod touch. The new and improved free app was designed for financial advisors and individual investors interested in actionable ideas, ETF analysis and commentary, and news on the latest additions to the ETF universe. Built on a proprietary classification system, the ETF Database app also features enhanced screening capabilities to help investors find the products to meet their portfolio objectives.

As investors have embraced the lower costs, tax efficiency, and transparency of ETFs, the industry has grown tremendously over the last several years. While that means more ETF options for investors, the surge in number of products has also made navigating the universe of ETFs a challenge. The ETFdb app includes information on more than 1,100 ETFs and ETNs available to U.S. investors, including descriptive information that allows users to filter products by sector, region, bond sector, commodity type, and issuer. Basic information on each ETF, including expense ratio, is included in the app, along with a link to complete performance and holdings data.

The new app also includes access to all articles published on ETFdb, one of the most widely-followed and highly-respected sources of objective information and analysis of exchange-traded funds. ETFdb content includes actionable investment ideas, head-to-head fund comparisons, educational content, and news on new fund launches.

Independent developer Nuno Nobre today is pleased to introduce SlideArtPuzzle 1.0 for iOS. Solve puzzles of famous paintings gaining knowledge about them with a lot of information available for each one. SlideArtPuzzle is a fun game that will allow you solve puzzles of famous paintings (Van Gogh, Paul Cezanne,Johannes Vermeer, Leonardo da Vinci, Jacques-Louis David, etc.). Each painting is presented a lot of information (year, artist and history).

As you try to solve the puzzle you can quickly look at the original image to help you decide what is the next step to do. The final goal will be solve all puzzles of the list (when you finish a puzzle, the rounded red square in the main screen will change to green, meaning that you concluded the puzzle with success). The game has 3 levels of difficulty (Normal, Hard and Very Hard) and you can change it in the options screen.

This game is a excellent training to your brain, because solve all puzzles of the list will be a true challenge. And, as long as you play, you will get a lot of knowledge about art. Play, win and learn.

IOTO Corporation is proud to announce the release and immediate availability of iSpoil for the iPhone and iPod touch via the iTunes App Store. The purpose of iSpoil is to promote responsible food conservation. The iSpoil application is a large database of foods and beverages, broken up into categories, that allow the user to select the foods they’ve purchased, input the expiration date, and then choose when they would like to be notified that their food is expiring.

“According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Loss Project, we throw away more than 25%, some 25.9 million tons, of all the food we produce for domestic sale and consumption” (E – The Environmental Magazine, 2010). Additionally, a lead researcher with a 2004 University of Arizona study estimates that a family of four tosses out $590 per year in meat, fruits, vegetables, and grain products alone. iSpoil is designed to help fight this trend. Along with helping to inform the user of expiring food in their home, this application will help to make them aware of the amount of food and money that they are wasting.

Juice the fruit with Freddy the Fennec Fox and his colourful cast of friends by sliding the rows and columns of the board. Players must line up fruits of the same type along the middle row to score points. With it’s new style of gameplay, Fruit Frenzy adds a unique twist to the popular puzzle game genre.

Fruit Frenzy was one of OpenFeint’s Featured Games for its launch week, showing their appreciation of its high production values and refined gameplay.

In Arcade Mode, players must match fruit together as fast as they can to stop the screen filling up. The game starts easy, but as the players learn the game, it gradually gets faster and more difficult. Freddy’s friends will come out and watch as players advance through the difficulty levels! In the frantic Time Attack mode, players must play against the clock to score as many points as they can in three minutes. They can post their scores online and compete with other players of the game locally and worldwide.

In Puzzle Mode, players are challenged to solve a huge variety of devious puzzles. In some, they’ll be asked to clear the board in a set number of moves. In others, they’ll have to create massive combos. Every puzzle is different! Four puzzles are available to start with. Players complete the four in any order to unlock the next four puzzles. This mode follows the same rules as Arcade Mode but creates an entirely different game!
