Paper Glider Bomber is the latest iPhone game launched by Neon Play, the UK based mobile games studio. This game follows on from the original Paper Glider which topped the free charts worldwide when it was announced by Apple to be the App Store’s 10 billionth download.

The idea is simple. Players glide over a city full of skyscrapers in a paper plane bomber. As the plane flies back and forth across the screen, getting lower each time, the objective is to drop bombs to destroy the buildings before you crash into them. Players tap the screen to drop a bomb. The easy controls allow the player to focus on experience of the game. Paper Glider Bomber uses the same clean cartoon style of the original Paper Glider that fans have grown to love. Players need to be accurate and efficient to make the most out of their limited 10 per crossing bomb supply. The game grows challenging in later levels with taller skyscrapers and the inclusion of hospitals. Dropping a bomb on a hospital loses players 1000 points.

Extra bombs can be obtained from the in-game Bomb Shop by earning or buying coins (IAP), the in-game currency. The Bomb Shop sells Missiles, Cluster Bombs, Building Buster and A-Bombs. Coins can also unlock custom glider themes in the Glider Shop, such as a pink, camouflage and flame glider, or planes that are decorated with the flags of eight major countries. Players can also earn free coins by downloading apps via TapJoy’s Offer Wall.

Gizmodo’s App of the Day – Frimby Limited today announces Facemood for iOS, an application which allows users to discover the mood of their friends through running a specialized algorithm on their Facebook metadata, such as their latest Facebook status. Quantifiable data concerning the moods of friends is currently absent from social networking, and therefore Facemood fills the void in the market.

Our algorithm encompasses a wide variety of variables such as keyword usage, sentence structure and punctuation before coming to a conclusion about how a user’s Facebook friends are feeling. Friends’ moods are explained in simple and graphical icons and terms on a Profile View. When you are presented with a friends’ mood, you can find out more information concerning its method of compilation; Facemood reveals select keywords which it used to conclude a friend’s mood.

Facemood utilises a variety of sources for its keyword database (e.g from Urban dictionary), but also allows users to add personalised keywords so the algorithm can pick up specific words that connote a certain mood. e.g if a friend is happy when they play soccer, the user can associate ‘soccer’ with an emotion of their choice, in this case ‘excited’.

AppGeneration just released their newest game, Crazy Formula 1.0 for iOS. Ever thought of becoming a famous scientist? We have got the perfect formula for you to start with. The science here is for you to crack a way to make the formula (fluid) pass through all the lab tubes, till it gets to its final destination, the formulas recipient. As the game becomes more difficult, you will have to combine different fluids, with different colors, to get the right final result. And it keeps getting more and more tricky as you have to guarantee you don’t mix fluids in the wrong combination and that each color comes in the right moment, even if, for that, you have to get a way to delay the flow of each fluid.

This truly addicting puzzle/board game will train your scientist mind, and leave you intrigued. You will find Crazy Formula an intuitive game where you just have to drag tubes, mixing colors, delay flow and change colors to get the desired final result in an interface that presents you with original graphics and sounds.

The game presents you with 51 progressive and challenging levels, organized in 5 formula books(levels) and a special final book. You will also find Tutorials in the key level. Crazy Formula is connected to Game Center with achievements.

Murtha Design Inc. has announced that Apple has featured the video editing iOS App Unnecessary Censorship.

Sales increased 933% overnight from Wednesday to Thursday after Apple featured the App. Right now we have two hurdles to overcome; Getting people to notice the App and educating people that might not know what the term “unnecessary censorship” refers to. With Apple featuring the App, we will certainly overcome the first hurdle and now we are starting a campaign to educate people on the how fun it is to convert ordinary video into suggestive video by creatively censoring video unnecessarily.

The term “unnecessary censorship” refers to taking normal video and bleeping it out to make it look like something inappropriate happened.

Darren Murtha, CEO of Murtha Design Inc. says “The best part of using the Unnecessary Censorship App is you have the tools to convert your ordinary video clips of friends and family into hilarious video clips that make the viewer pause and ask ‘what just happened?’

Over the course of the next few weeks, we’ll be adding a section to our website to highlight the creative videos people make using the Unnecessary Censorship App. People will be encouraged to post their videos on YouTube, Twitter and Facebook and then email the public URL to uc@murthadesign.com

Soluble Apps today is pleased to announce that its groundbreaking new iPhone email solution, “MailShot” is relocating to the “Productivity” section of the App Store with its latest update.

MailShot is a unique app which allows iPhone and iPad users to email groups of up to 50 people from within their favourite apps just by selecting a single contact from their address book. These contacts can be used to easily email groups of family or friends, classes, work or sports teams.

MailShot launched last month and is the first app to integrate this “distribution list” capability right into every mail-capable app. It allows users to send any link or attachment that app developers can think of, and is the only easy way an iPhone can do a number of tricks that are built in to other systems- such as forwarding an email to group of people.

Peter Johnson, Company Founder, said: “The iPhone is already a fantastic device for keeping in touch, and MailShot makes it even better! Allowing people to easily send links and videos to groups of their friends or colleagues from all over their phone hugely enhances the email experience from the iPhone and iPad.
