Appular announces the latest update for their exhilarating color-matching puzzle game, Push Panic, which adds full iPad compatibility with the transition to a Universal app, along with numerous additional changes. Rated as a Top 25 App of 2010 by Metacritic, Push Panic introduces 25 new levels, a revamped live ranking system and new achievements for users to unlock through Game Center.

Push Panic delivers intense challenges in four action-packed gameplay modes. Random power-ups include chain-links to combine multiple color strings, point multipliers, time freezes, bombs, and an arrow block that pushes the panic bar when players need a quick breather.

Adding to the spirit of competition are eight new achievements for players to strive towards as they aim to obtain the 75 gold medals while outranking opponents. Push Panic now features a completely remodeled ranking system and along with Twitter integration, it now provides users with faster loading times while pushing past live global rankings.

Independent developer Cristi Habliuc, who brought you the “How Drunk” BAC calculator app for the iPhone, today is excited to announce the release of his latest iPhone/iPod touch arcade puzzle game, “Spin Frenzy“. It stands out with a unique gameplay and beautiful graphics. The game is already available for download on the iTunes App Store immediately.

The game’s concept is simple: you are given a number of fruits which you have to pair in order to score points. You touch fruits that are lined up in front of you, which will cause the group formed by the first to the touched fruit to spin, reversing positions. When the fruits make a pair of at least 3, you get points for it.

Combo moves are rewarded heavily, so you’ll want to keep looking at the upcoming fruits in order to chain those pairs. The game has Game Center integration, which means you’ll be able to enjoy achievements as you go, as well as a High Scores section which you can use to compare your scores with friends and other players.

Independent developer David Vondracek, announced the first release of DropBy 1.0 for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch users. DropBy searches your contacts for addresses and displays those nearby on a map with a pin. Ever been across town all day and after you’ve left remember someone you should have called upon? Or, perhaps you’re visiting your hometown and want to meet up with old friends? Search your contacts with DropBy and get in touch quickly. Schedule your visit with minimal effort.

Do you store your favorite restaurants or business contacts in your address book? Find them easily when you want to DropBy for a meal. Or, you can even upload a list of addresses for sales calls in an area and have them ready for when you arrive. When the pins show up on the DropBy map tap the pin for the contacts name and again for their full contact page. You can call, text, email with a tap. No scrolling and scrolling through contacts anymore.

Perhaps you have contacts in an area but don’t remember their name. Zoom and pan the map to the correct area and re-search. The app will pull everyone in your contacts for that area and drop a pin. Zoom and pan map to adjust area to search – tap “redo search in this area” and app reloads pins for specified area. Compass icon zooms to current location and reloads. DropBy accesses the addresses you have for your contacts. No contact information is collected by Drop By.

Applistar today is pleased to introduces Indians Family 1.0 for iOS, their game where players try to figure out how a family can safely traverse a natural obstacle, getting from the far left to the far right of the screen. Featuring three natural environments and 60 puzzle levels, the correct solutions are likely to tax the creativity and resourcefulness of even the most ardent gameplayer. Each physics-based solution requires careful thought, patient experimentation, and flawless execution. Players control the movements of the father, mother, and daughter, who are all of different weights and sizes, a fact that is vital to solving each puzzle.

Abu and his wife, Ber, and their daughter, June are trying to find their way home. Along the way, they must go over, under, or through natural obstacles in their path. The player can select each character, and control their movement left, right, and up. For example, in Level 1 the family is on the left side of a gorge and must cross to the other side. Can they run and jump? There is a trapeze swinging back and forth over the gorge. Can each of them manage to successfully jump on, swing across, and jump off? Can they build momentum while on the trapeze to carry them closer to the other side? Should they cross singly or as a group? The player will find the answer to all these questions along the way to getting everyone across. There are no hints and no solutions available; and only the first three levels are unlocked.

An old elementary school riddle asks the question, “A man who weighs 200 pounds has a rowboat. How can he and his two friends, who weigh 100 pounds each, all cross the river, if the boat can only carry 200 pounds?” Many of the puzzles in Indians Family require this type of thinking, but in a much more complex way. The puzzles in the game include levers, swings, planes, stacking of people and objects, collisions, ramrods, spheres, rotors, and more. All the action takes place in one of three settings, the Jungle, the Desert, and the Arctic, and so all objects in each puzzle are native to their environment.
