Truphone has added Skype for iPhone and iPod Touch, allowing users to make calls and instant message other Skype users. This new features go live on next Monday, January 12.
Currently works in 33 countries around the world, Truphone uses the iPhone’s own address book. Making a Truphone call is easy: just open the Truphone application and dial as normal.
Truphone’s Skype feature for iPhone follows the release of similar services (client-based applications like fring and Nimbuzz, or web application like IM+ for Skype).
Anyone has tried of these applications? Which one do you like best?

I LOVE fring! fring allows me to use Skype to chat and Skype Out to place calls, I can add a SIP client (like Gizmo) and it has a unifying interface that allows multiple IM clients to connect in one app.

I’ve used Truphone successfully for a long time on a Nokia GSM phone. Stopped when they changed their pricing structure which isn’t competitive with other VoIP services.
I decided to try them again after switching to an iphone since there aren’t any other VoIP services available yet (that are seemless to use). Service works fine. But now I can’t use it because the Truphone app doesn’t support the iphone’s speaker or bluetooth. Too bad.
