Well yesterday’s keynote by Phil Schiller came and went without nary a mention of the iPhone and it’s upcoming OS release (perhaps 3.0?). BUT, when you think about it, this was a MacWorld, not iPhoneWorld, so why not make the event mac-centric. You know, I think that I was just hoping for the best even though I knew this, because this was the last MacWorld Apple would be participating in.

That said, the iPhone did have some news announcements that were made. It seems like the new version of iPhoto, iPhoto 09 has the ability to export it’s slide shows on to an iPhone, also it will be able to utilize the iPhone’s GPS ability to plot geo-tagged photos.
Another nugget that went under the radar was the keynote.app that was released for the iPhone. This $.99 app is able to connect to your laptop via wifi and control your keynote presentations. Reports say that moving from one slide to another just involves a swipe of the finger. I’m sure we’ll be seeing a lot of reviews about these two products so keep an eye open for these reviews in the future.
Anyway, despite the lack of HUGE groundbreaking news, I feel that this MacWorld keynote was pretty good…Now my next thought would be, so WHEN is Apple planning their next media event?
