Remember when we brought up the rumor that Walmart is going to get a discounted iPhone 3G? Well there are now more claims that these rumors are true. Apparently Walmart is getting a special version of the iPhone 3G that is going to sell for only $99 with a two-year agreement.

What makes this version so special you might ask, well this handset has only 4GB. Now for many that is just not enough, but for some that is plenty, especially on a budget. This version of the iPhone 3G really makes the iPhone virtually unstoppable. This is not a final confirmation however because the tip came in from an unusual source.

Apple previously dropped the 4GB iPhone from their lineup pretty early on. We are expecting the new 4GB version to sell really well at $99 in these trying times, as compared to the $399 price tag the previous version had. Other than the amount of internal memory the 4GB version will have all the bells and whistles as the 8GB and 16GB versions do.
