
Just as World Cup fever is building the UK’s retailers have launched the biggest raft of sales this year, with dozens battling to give shoppers the biggest discounts according to the UK’s leading fashion sales website TheFashionPixie.com. From designer retailers including Selfridges, Harvey Nichols and Jimmy Choo to high street favourites like Oasis and Coast, half price deals launched this week are hoping to lure millions of women to shop whilst their partners are glued to the TV.
“We have seen more sales and bigger discounts this week than at any time since last year, and it is no coincidence that it coincides with the first full week of World Cup football,” said Nicole Snape of retail sales website TheFashionPixie.com.
TheFashionPixie.com website, founded by a group of bargain hunting women last year gathers information on all retail fashion sales in one website and also on a free iPhone App. More than 10,000 women now surf the site and the app to find out where all the best sales are in the high street and online.
“The sheer number of new sales hitting each day makes it tough for even us to keep up, but we are posting dozens of new sales on our website and iPhone App this week, and typical discounts are 50 per cent, so it will be worth leaving the other half to watch the game this weekend, and hit the high street instead,” she added.
